Just when you thought every morsel that could be fried had been tried at the State Fair of Texas – fried Twinkie, fried Coke, fried bacon, oh my – now comes this:

Deep Fried Butter, anyone?

Deep Fried Butter is the creation of Abel Gonzales Jr., who’s received previous Big Tex honors for his Texas Fried Cookie Dough, Fried Coke and Fried Peanut Butter, Jelly and Banana Sandwich. Scoops of pure butter the size of golf balls are frozen and covered with dough and dropped into the deep fryer. Bite into a ball and melted butter pours out.
